Masterful Musician Harvey Cummings II, a native of Charlotte, has taken the world of music by storm with his unmatched talent and remarkable versatility. As an award-winning saxophonist, pianist, songwriter, and producer, Cummings has created a unique sound that seamlessly blends jazz, hip-hop, and soul, providing listeners with an extraordinary auditory experience. At the forefront of the modern jazz movement, Cummings leads his captivating ensemble, The Harvey Cummings Project. Their performances have graced the stages of prestigious festivals and have mesmerized audiences on television and podcast series alike. From “The Boondocks” to President Obama and Oprah, to touring with TLC, to writing for the Charlotte Symphony to even Michael Jordan himself, Charlotte-based musician, composer, and Vibe Curator Harvey Cummings II remains one of the country’s most sought after musical acts. “A prodigiously talented instrumentalist who plays both saxophone and piano, his work as a songwriter and producer has real depth and artistry” - CLTure Harvey will also be entertaining us at Eighty Eights with a late night set after the 9:30 pm show. This fun and engaging set will feature Harvey's DJ set while mixing in him accompanying on his instruments. This is included with tickets to the 9:30 pm show.

Shane Wheeler is a composer, curator, artist, and studio creative director based in North Carolina. He serves as the Creative Director of Unheard Project GSO, where he focuses on building meaningful connections within the regional music community. Wheeler has been playing saxophone for 16 years, bass guitar for 6 years, and piano for 8 years. He brings over a decade of teaching experience as a saxophone instructor and eight years as a beginner-level piano instructor. Since beginning his professional music career in 2019, he has become a key connector in the NC music scene, intentionally linking musicians, artists, and opportunities to help careers grow collectively. As a performer, Shane has shared the stage with artists such as Charlie Hunter, Drew Foust, Maia Kamil, Ashley Virginia, Jonathan Timber, and the A&T Gospel Choir. In the studio, he has tracked horns for a range of NC artists, with notable credits including Live United and Fantasia. He has also worked closely with Greensboro’s growing studio The 68 Sound, connecting artists with production teams and contributing to several recording projects. Beyond Greensboro, Shane has been involved with a Charlotte-based music and artist collective Called Sonorous Wave focused on cultivating community through curated events, pop-up performances, and technical support, including stage backing and audio engineering for local venues.

Trumpeter and Vocalist, Jeremy Turgeon’s music style blends jazz, funk, soul, and modern influences together in a way that’s been characterized by an undeniable vibe. Jeremy was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts but currently resides in North Carolina. While still living in Springfield, he taught trumpet and intro to music production at the award winning Community Music School of Springfield and was also a member of their nationally recognized outreach program - Sonido Musica and started The Springfield Community Jam! Jeremy has performed at various venues and festivals including Hard Rock Cafe(Boston), Indie Soul Festival, and Charlotte SHOUT! He has also worked with many local, regional, and international artists including gospel legend Doobie Powell, whom he leads the horn section for, Tyrese, and Michelle Brooks- Thompson(The Voice) to name a few.
